At Long Last! Logan Has Arrived

Logan Ward Moody made his much anticipated arrival on Tuesday, March 4 at 11:46 a.m. He was a whopping 9 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 21 1/2 inches long. Here he is along side his big sister's baby photos. They sure do look alike!

Lots of folks have asked us how we came up with Logan Ward Moody as a name.

Taylor and LoganLori and I both have always liked the name Logan...in fact, when Lori was pregnant with Taylor....Logan was our choice of names if it would have been a boy.  We just thought that is sounded very strong. It is of Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "hollow".  A very good friend of ours from Church told us that ...in a way....because his name means "hollow"...we would have the perfect opportunity to fill him with the love of Christ..and to teach him all of the values and morales that we hold dear.

The name Ward is very close to my heart. As many of you know,  I was raised living with my Mother and Grandparents for most of my life. As I grew older my Grandfather had become my very best and closest friend.  I was number one in his life until Lori came along... and he dropped me for her...ha ha ha!  Anyways we both loved him so much and miss him everyday.  Since my last name is different than his, we just thought it would be nice to keep his name in our family somehow. Plus....I tried screaming....LOGAN WARD!!! just to see how it would sound...if he ever does something bad....and it sounded pretty darn good together! Ha Ha Ha!
